This isnt the movie man, you have to program the gate's adress. I could have 5 differnt missions with planets named everything from Earth to Abydos to Atlantas to Talonoplis to StarShip Enterprise, and have them all have the adress for the Earth.

my only problem with stargate mod is : found destination adess for open wormhole , but , that is the same in stargate( the movie) and sg-1 show , no adress , no wormhole traveller ....hihihi !!!

The only problem I really have with it is that with an all powerful alien engine in it, should it really slow down so dramatically when you bank and turn? I'm just thinking maybe it should compensate a little for that.

I think the LOD's for hte gliders cannon are screwed up, I usualy only see them thru a scope. Personaly, Id prefer if the glider was based on the helocopter hover standard, with a boosted that lets it do more than hover, that way it'll manuver more like a glider.

And when I first got the deathgliders I recreated Antarctica by pitting them up against a load of F302s. Now *that* was cool, except for the fact that they like to crash into each other more than they like to shoot their enemies. Glider headed for an F302 = head on collision, which isn't pretty if you're standing on the ground like I was once. Dodge the hail of incoming pilotless aircraft, and get ready to shoot down parachuting Jaffa. Just don't get shot in the back by the ones you missed. -_-'

lol Cool... I'm just curious beccause I made a base camp with four deathgliders coming at it, and sure, they blew the hell out of everything, but I didn't see their shots, which kind of took the fun out of it. But the deathgliders flying overhead while trying to dial the gate sure was cool. And about the 249, when I picked that thing up I expected to be blown a few yards backwards just for attempting to fire it, but nothing... It even had less recoil than my M4, go figure. But Walmis said it was a beta and that a lot of things would be changed, so. I guess we should wait and see.

I just did it in editor playing around.... dunno what I did differnt. It was sweetthough, just after that screencap, the deathglider got blown out of the air.

What Id like to see (and have never seen on an OFP addon) is a realistic 249. Have a shitload of recoil when shooting standing, kneeling, or prone, but with an option to extend the bipod legs when prone, making the recoil minimal. Have it possible to run with the bipod out, but if you go prone, you have to select "put bipod down" again to mount it, and you can have a limited firing arc without moving. (basicly, you become a turret or something.)

By the way, I agree with Wes. And personally, I think the recoils of all the weapons is perfect, except for the machine gun because, well... The recoil is WAY too low for a gun that size.

Nota bug but a glitch.. the deathglider doesnt work now. HD works for me, but its not that innacurate. Im guessing the deathglider used the old jaffa no healmet model for hte pilot, and thats gonw with this mod.. I like the weapons, on walmis's fourm, some people have complained about the m4 recoil... it shouldnt depend on the butt stock, adjusting it is a personal confort thing, not a recoil thing.

What's up with the new models they look great but plasma cannon 1 and 2 don't work along with all my jaffa HD seem not to work at all. Just keep getting that good old message "no special ' model"

no idea : / i never got permission to release the last one lol i did have an SG_Apophis.pbo aswell as the jaffa.pbo i was working on with the apophis & groups built into it) but i never got permission, when ive finished building teh audio addon i'l take a look at both and see what i can do, but im crap with O2 and most the p3d files are made to NOT be edited with anything else, making changing texture paths a prob (cos im a nooob) pmsl

I was just doing some more testing, except this time I put the little .ext into an already existing mission of mine and played around with the gates, and they all dialed up fine but the gates would *appear* to stay on even when they should've shut off. @_@ And Walmis, you said use a tablet but... I tried placing some but they're invisible just like the v1.2 DHDs were. Oh, and one last thing, the new design is great and all but I can't click the english button in the top left, so I had to load up an address from my URL bar.

It's really bad because I dial from Earth to go somewhere, I actually get through the wormhole and arrive at the destination, but then I try dialing home, which is what a DHD does (lol) and wouldn't you know it... The DHD lights up, the gate's chevrons are all locked, and no wormhole appears. Damn!

Hey Guest, Matt, what do you mean? Ae you asking how you load it into a map or how do you dial it up properly? By the way, I've done more testing with the gates, including putting a couple side by side and dialing them into each other and I'm still having that double wormhole problem. o_O You know how you dial the gate, and the gate you're dialing *from* opens immediately, and then all the chevrons on the other gate light up and a couple seconds later *it* opens? Well... I dial it up, but the gate I'm dialing from is all lit up but no wormhole appears, and the other gate I'm dialing to goes *Wossh!* ... *Wossh!* ... Two wormholes form in that one gate, and I can't go through without getting killed. lol

I just put some HD Jaffa in a mission and they seemed to load up just fine. As in, they shot at me okay... lol But they didn't appear to be any less accurate than the normal ones, and when I spawned as one I didn't have any ammo, so I guess *something* could be messed up.

Wow, lots of releases in two days - my head is spinning. @_@ By the way, has anyone thought about adding in a keyboard interface to the Dialing Computer and maybe even the DHD? The computer does have a keyboard, afterall, so maybe by hitting a button you could enter a symbol? I just think it'd be a cool improvement from the mouse clicking - typing in an address instead of using the mouse. Just thought it'd be a good idea if it's possible.

The hi-dispersion staff weapon Jaffa. Similar to the HD weapons in the JAM addon, basicly it's designed to be somewhat innacurate, to make the battles last longer (since there's less lead on target).

Yeah, too much dirt hitting... And when the AI is moving up on an enemy position they don't take cover behind stuff, they crawl... all... the way... there... lol Takes forever and is supremely frustrating. By the way, what do you mean by HD Jaffa, Wes? Oh, and is anyone else having the problem with the new gate where you dial the correct adress, but the target gate actually opens twice and the one you dialed from is all lit up but didn't open? It seems to only happen with the offworld gates.
